We met Raicheal in 2021 when she worked for an agency providing palliative care in Spain. Our dear friend Margaret was suffering from terminal cancer and wished to remain at home for the remainder of her life.

Margaret required 24/7 live in care. This was during Covid lock-down and her needs were difficult to provide for, with my wife and I being her only visitors, as her pastors. We arranged for the agency, that Raicheal worked for, to undertake the care of Margaret.

Margaret was bedridden, on oxygen, and had a strict medication regime, so both she and Raicheal were confined to the home.

Raicheal was responsible for Margaret's care, medication, looking after the house and her much loved pets, of which there were many, also cooking fresh meals every day. As end of life approached and the medical situation became more difficult, Raicheal dealt with the local medical practitioners in organising medications for pain relief.

She was very supportive of Margaret's Christian beliefs, personal interests and actively encouraged friends to visit, when practical under the circumstances.

Raicheal helped Margaret with preparing her funeral wishes, choice of clothes, etc. Raichel was with Margaret in those final minutes, as she went to be with her Lord. Raicheal was calm and professional, always treating Margaret with utmost respect. In fact, they became good friends.

We found Raicheal to be a very likeable and agreeable professional. Without Raicheal's help and competence, we would have found caring for Margaret, who lived in a remote Spanish village and 30 miles away from us, extremely difficult. Raicheal went above and beyond normal duties, in extremely difficult circumstances, and has our lasting respect and thanks.
